Salary/Pay Rate: $125,000 – $135,000K/year plus bonus and excellent benefits

Work Environment: Hybrid

Term: Permanent

Bachelor's Degree Required: Yes (J.D. Required)

Referral Fee: $500 should you refer a candidate who is hired

Overview

A highly respected, full-service law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join its Ames, Iowa office. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in representing clients in a wide variety of legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and court appearances, as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice groups and offices.
• Build strong client relationships while delivering exceptional legal service.
• Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement opportunities.
• Continue developing substantive legal knowledge and practice-specific expertise.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Iowa Bar license, or ability to obtain admission.
• 1–3 years of litigation or transactional legal experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a desire to grow professionally within a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to outstanding client service and professional excellence.

Compensation & Benefits
