Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity offers a professional environment focused on long-term care (LTC) and mail order pharmacy services. The role supports patient health by ensuring safe and effective medication management while providing direct consultation and education on prescriptions and medical devices. It is a contract-to-hire position with a 26-week initial assignment, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and detect patterns of overuse.
• Verify the suitability of prescribed medicines for patients.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer medication-related questions.
• Offer patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for both external and internal use, including preparation of sterile products.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory effectively.
• Identify drug-related patient problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to resolve them.
• Work closely with healthcare teams including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy License.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) or mail order pharmacy practice preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and medication management.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
