We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools and one high school in the Town of Brookline. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a Cross Country Coach for theFall Intramural Season for Lawrence School . TheCross Country Coach is responsible for the following; Responsible for planning and implementing all team activities. Collaborates with the District Intramural Coordinators to participate in theCross Country meets. Communicates necessary information with all athletes and families. Works with the Building Sports Coordinator to implement rules and regulations. Develops sports-specific skills and for all players. Models sportspersonship, good sports conduct and an inclusive environment. Provides a positive atmosphere for all players, coaches and spectators. Encourages school spirit. Reports to Building Principal and the Building Sports Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:

Knowledge of rules and understanding of middle school athletics. Concussion awareness training certification All employees must undergo a CORI verification and fingerprinting process prior to the start of theiremployment. Current authorization to work in the United States- must have authorization by first day of employment

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:

Relevant coaching experience working with Student Athletes. TERMS: Hourly Rateper Unit A Contract $41.14/session Cross Country Sessions will have a maximum of 12 hours/sessions for the season. ***All employees must be vaccinated and maintain full vaccination as a condition of employment or work as an on-site vendor/contractor, unless they receive approval for a documented medical or religious exemption in accordance with relevant state and/or federal law.
