ITAM Stockroom Specialist

Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking for an ITAM Stockroom Specialist to join their team. Day to day, this role serves as the operational hub for the company's hardware asset lifecycle, ensuring laptops, monitors, peripherals, and other technology assets are accurately tracked from receipt through deployment, return, and disposal. Daily responsibilities include reviewing incoming asset shipments, processing returned equipment, fulfilling new hire and replacement device requests, and monitoring open ITAM tickets and urgent deployment needs. The specialist works closely with IT Operations, end users, vendors, and shipping partners to coordinate device deliveries, transfers, returns, and break/fix replacements while maintaining accurate asset records in the ITAM platform. Throughout the day, they perform inventory management activities, investigate discrepancies, monitor stock levels, support audits and compliance requirements, and help improve processes to make asset fulfillment and recovery more efficient. Success in the role depends on strong organization, attention to detail, inventory accuracy, timely request fulfillment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring employees have the technology they need to do their jobs. This role is fully onsite and must be local to Tampa, Florida. This is a 6-month contract w/ potential extension. Working knowledge of asset lifecycle processes, including receiving, deployment, transfer, return, decommissioning, and disposal. Experience maintaining accurate records in an IT service management or asset management platform. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively with end users, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document repeatable processes. Ability to handle, package, and move technology equipment and related supplies as required by the role. - Experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management or a comparable ITAM platform. Familiarity with IT asset controls, audit requirements, lease returns, legal hold processes, and secure disposal practices.
