Accounting clerk

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will support our daily financial operations by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has a foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles, is comfortable working with numbers, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

salary: $23 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will support our daily financial operations by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has a strong foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles, is comfortable working with numbers, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP): Review, verify, and input vendor invoices into the accounting system; assist with preparing weekly check runs or electronic payments.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Process incoming customer payments, prepare daily bank deposits, and assist with monitoring overdue accounts.
• Data Entry & Maintenance: Accurately enter daily financial transactions into the general ledger and maintain well-organized physical and digital accounting files.
• Reconciliation: Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all accounts.
• Administrative Support: Provide general support during month-end closing procedures and help compile documentation for tax filings or audits.
