Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a specialization in Systems and Data Governance to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, along with expertise in data management and governance systems. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data, as well as driving process improvements and efficiencies within the Finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data quality issues, process gaps, and system inefficiencies.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality metrics.
• Provide guidance and training to Finance team members on data governance best practices and procedures.
• Lead data governance projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on data governance and systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred (SAP, Oracle) and data management tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to data integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
