Policy Analyst

The Bull Moose Project is seeking a highly motivated individual to help develop the organization’s policy and government affairs work. This position will report directly to BMP’s President and be responsible for deepening relationships on Capitol Hill, producing research and commentary, and advancing our policy goals to ensure a dominant American future. This is a hybrid full-time position located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities Write and contribute to a variety of written policy products, such as reports, memos, op-eds, and video scripts. Conduct research and translate it into action-oriented, external products. Analyze and track legislation to provide recommendations on BMP’s strategy around public positions, sign-on letters, bill sponsorship, comments, and feedback on draft legislation. Support & develop programming for programs and events, including basic operations work, confirming speakers, and assisting principals with speaking engagements or video projects. Grow and maintain relationships with government, industry, non-profits, and other advocacy organizations. Be willing to appear on camera for short-form video content ( Occasional ( Other duties as assigned. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, economics, or a related field is highly preferred. Enthusiastic support for BMP’s mission and worldview. Entrepreneurial and able to work on long-term projects with minimal oversight. Highly refined writing and communication skills; be able to make creative and compelling policy arguments. This is a writing-intensive role; a demonstrable history of being regularly published is preferred. Subject matter familiarity with one or more areas of BMP’s policy priorities. The ideal applicant is expected to have 2-4 years of applicable work experience, preferably on Capitol Hill or in other related organizations.
