Fire Protection Project ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex fire protection installation projects, including large-scale and mission-critical construction environments.This is a hands-on, on-site leadership opportunity for a professional who can effectively manage project execution, field operations, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and final commissioning. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, NFPA codes, and AHJ requirements, along with the ability to lead projects successfully from pre-construction through final closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete lifecycle of complex, multi-system fire protection installation projects, from pre-construction and design coordination through commissioning and closeout.Direct daily field operations, subcontractors, and field crews while maintaining strong accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.Coordinate project milestones and installation activities with general contractors and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment with critical-path schedules.Monitor labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs against established budgets and proactively address potential financial variances.Prepare, negotiate, and process change orders while ensuring project scope, costs, and margins are properly managed.Conduct internal inspections, quality checks, and pre-commissioning testing to ensure systems are ready for final inspection and approval by local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).Ensure projects comply with applicable NFPA codes, specifications, safety requirements, and AHJ standards.Oversee final project documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, testing documentation, and system owner training.Maintain clear communication with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Support a strong culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and ethical project management.Required Qualifications & ExperienceDemonstrated experience managing complex, multi-system fire protection projects through the full project lifecycle.Strong practical knowledge of applicable NFPA codes, fire protection standards, and AHJ requirements.Proven ability to manage field operations, subcontractors, crews, project schedules, budgets, and customer expectations.Willingness to maintain a daily on-site presence and travel up to 20% to regional project locations.Ability to work extended hours, including 80+ hours per week during critical project schedule periods, when required.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of dedicated field experience in fire protection project management.NICET III certification in Sprinkler and/or Special Hazards.Previous project management experience supporting hyperscale, AI, or mission-critical data center construction projects.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Proficiency with industry and project management software, including:ProcoreMicrosoft ProjectAutoCADBluebeamMicrosoft ExcelCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly compensation with performance-based bonus opportunities.Overtime compensation.401(k) retirement savings program with employer matching.Bi-weekly payroll.Travel per diem for eligible out-of-town project assignments.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Health Savings Account (HSA) options.Life and disability insurance.Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.Paid parental leave.Company-provided safety equipment and uniforms.Specialized technical training and mentorship programs.Annual team-building and company events.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a technically knowledgeable and highly organized fire protection professional who can take ownership of complex projects, lead teams in demanding field environments, and consistently deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
