Step into an impactful role supporting students’ growth by utilizing your expertise as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This contract opportunity is perfect for a professional comfortable conducting independent functional behavior assessments within a school setting, specifically as part of the IEP evaluation process.
You’ll be responsible for completing one comprehensive FBA in-person, ensuring an objective and thorough evaluation to support student services. While the need is for in-person availability, consideration for virtual arrangements may arise if a qualified local BCBA isn’t secured; details regarding scheduling are currently being finalized.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
- Demonstrated experience conducting functional behavior assessments, preferably in educational environments
- Familiarity with the IEP evaluation process and related documentation
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet evaluation deadlines
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school staff and stakeholders to gather relevant student information
- Perform a comprehensive functional behavior assessment in person, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Clearly document findings and recommendations as part of the independent evaluation
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Communicate results effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting
