Grant Writer

One full-time position | 40 hrs/week, generally Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | $85,000 - $90,000 annually Job Duties The Grant Writer researches funding opportunities and prepares compelling, accurate, and timely grant proposals that support the organization's mission and strategic priorities. This position coordinates the grant-development process, maintains the grant calendar, and works with program, finance, clinical, and executive staff to develop competitive applications and required reports. The Grant Writer supports grants from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. For federally funded programs, the position helps ensure that proposals and reports align with applicable funding requirements, allowable-cost principles, and organizational policies. Research government, foundation, corporate, and other funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities. Evaluate funding opportunities for eligibility, strategic fit, financial feasibility, and application requirements. Write and edit letters of inquiry, grant proposals, renewal applications, concept papers, and supporting documents. Translate program goals, community needs, performance data, and financial information into clear and persuasive narratives. Coordinate proposal development with program leadership, finance, compliance, human resources, and executive management. Develop proposal timelines and manage internal deadlines to ensure complete and timely submissions.
