Senior Technology Trainer

The Senior Technology Trainer serves as a strategic leader in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technology training programs across the firm. Working closely with attorneys, business professionals, practice groups, and technology teams, this role drives user adoption of core legal technologies, identifies learning opportunities, develops innovative training content, and provides advanced application support. The Senior Technology Trainer plays a key role in ensuring employees are equipped to effectively leverage firm technology and evolving legal tech solutions. Key Responsibilities Training & User Enablement Lead the development and delivery of firmwide technology training programs for attorneys and business professionals. Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, one-on-one, and on-demand training sessions tailored to user needs. Conduct onboarding and technology training for all new hires. Deliver advanced training on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, NetDocuments, document automation platforms, and legal workflow technologies. Design and facilitate specialized learning initiatives, workshops, and user engagement programs. Serve as a subject matter expert for firm-standard and specialized applications. Partner with department leaders, practice groups, and management to identify and prioritize training needs. Assess user knowledge gaps and recommend targeted learning solutions. Analyze workflow practices and technology usage to improve training effectiveness and user productivity. Monitor Service Desk trends to identify recurring issues and proactive training opportunities. Recommend enhancements to training processes, methodologies, and documentation standards. Content Development Develop, maintain, and update training materials and firm documentation. Create learning content in multiple formats, including: Training curricula and course outlines User guides and reference materials Quick-reference tools and technology tips Videos, e-learning modules, and assessments Customize vendor-provided materials to align with firm standards and workflows. Service Desk & Technical Support Provide advanced application support and serve as an escalation resource for software-related issues. Create, assign, and track support tickets to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with Technology teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions. Support continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of support trends and user feedback. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs and learning materials. Minimum 5 years of experience working within a law firm environment. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience working with custom Word templates and legal document production processes. Strong knowledge of document management systems, particularly NetDocuments. Familiarity with legal technology applications, document automation tools, and legal workflows. Experience with AI-powered legal technologies and AI-related user training preferred. Additional Requirements Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment. Willingness to travel to firm offices as needed.
