Junior Accountant

Join a growing renewable energy organization as a Junior Accountant! This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to work closely with leadership while gaining hands-on experience in payroll compliance, invoicing, reconciliations, reporting and month-end accounting.


The role will initially focus on prevailing-wage and payroll documentation, then expand into broader accounting responsibilities over time. If you are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in Excel and eager to grow your accounting career, this could be a great fit.

Key Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field strongly preferred
• Approximately 0-2 years of accounting, payroll or related experience
• Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to accuracy and detail
• Comfortable working with calculations, reconciliations and detailed documentation
• Highly organized and able to learn new processes quickly
• Comfortable following up with contractors and vendors to obtain required information

Primary Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain prevailing-wage and payroll documentation
• Review payroll records and contractor payroll reports for accuracy
• Track employee hours, wage rates and supporting information
• Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets and reconcile accounts
• Follow up with contractors and vendors regarding required documentation
• Help develop organized and repeatable compliance processes
• Assist with invoicing, reconciliations, reporting and month-end accounting
• Provide ongoing payroll, accounting and administrative support

Perks & Benefits

• Salary of $55,000-$70,000, based on experience
• Full-time, Monday-Friday daytime schedule
• Some flexibility with start and end times
• Occasional work-from-home flexibility once fully trained
