Registered Nurse (RN) - OrthopedicsWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedics to join our team. This role is focused on delivering high-quality care to orthopedic and trauma patients, with an emphasis on pre-operative and post-operative management.Job DetailsThree 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.Every other weekend required.One holiday and one evening shift required during the holiday period.No on-call responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.Utilize safe patient handling equipment, including CPM machines, knee immobilizers, and bone foam.Manage a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6, with potential extension to 1:7 during busy periods.Participate in the use of Rapid Response Teams as needed.Effectively coordinate care for both elective and trauma orthopedic patients.QualificationsMinimum of two years of nursing experience required.No first-time travelers; prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.Demonstrated experience in orthopedic and trauma nursing.Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is required.If you are passionate about orthopedic nursing and meet the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our orthopedic care team.
