Certified Surgical Technologist
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Technologist will float between McLaren Thumb and McLaren Caro with a 30-minute response time.
The Certified Surgical Technologist assists surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments. This role includes preparing patients, rooms, and equipment for pending surgical procedures and providing assistance during those procedures as part of the surgical team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring instruments and equipment are ready for surgical procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery.
- Support surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and uphold safety protocols.
- Handle instruments and equipment as needed during surgeries.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist is required.
- Preferred experience in Orthopedic, OB-GYN, and General surgical procedures.
- Must possess NBSTSA certification.
- BLS certification is required.
