HR & Benefits Coordinator (Contract)

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is proactively seeking HR & Benefits Coordinators for upcoming contract opportunities with organizations across the Portland and Vancouver metro area.

These roles support day-to-day human resources operations, employee benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee support functions. Successful candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing confidential information while providing excellent service to employees and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations

• Respond to employee questions regarding medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefit programs

• Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data

• Process personnel changes, including promotions, transfers, pay adjustments, and status updates

• Assist with leave administration, accommodations, and workers' compensation tracking

• Coordinate open enrollment activities and employee communications

• Partner with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators

• Prepare reports, audits, and compliance-related documentation

• Support HR projects and process improvement initiatives

• Assist with recruiting coordination, interview scheduling, and other administrative HR functions as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR, Benefits Administration, HR Coordinator, or related experience

• Experience supporting employee benefits programs and HR operations

• Knowledge of onboarding, employee record management, and HR best practices

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, Paylocity, UKG, Workday, Dayforce, BambooHR, or Paycom

• Experience supporting multi-state employees

• Understanding of leave administration and employment law compliance

• HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) preferred but not required
