Child and Adolescent Therapist - Medi-Cal

About the Role Join our dynamic clinical team as a Child and Adolescent Therapist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, teens, and families navigating mental health challenges. We're seeking a compassionate, skilled clinician who is passionate about working with young people and their families in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide evidence-based therapy, contribute to treatment planning, and share your expertise through community education and professional development. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with parents and clients, synthesizing and sharing clinical insights with the multidisciplinary team Develop and deliver individualized psychological treatment plans for children, adolescents, and families, utilizing individual, dyadic, family, parent-coaching, and behavioral management modalities Coordinate clinical care and collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, psychologists, and psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive, integrated treatment Design and deliver educational workshops and training seminars at our clinic and throughout the community on topics within your clinical expertise, including continuing education and parent education Participate actively in clinical staff meetings, team meetings, and committees to support program quality and service excellence Maintain strict adherence to all mental health legal and ethical standards, including timely completion of clinical documentation, billing, reports, and confidentiality protocols as outlined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), and National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Participate in IEP conferences and school-based meetings to support educational personnel in understanding client needs and implementing clinical recommendations Meet productivity expectations as established by the Division Director, with full productivity anticipated by the end of the third month Maintain unwavering commitment to child safety, mandated reporting responsibilities, and professional boundaries Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals Qualifications Master's degree and current licensure as LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) from an accredited graduate program Bilingual fluency in English and Vietnamese (required) Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience in pediatric clinic settings and/or school-based mental health programs Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety and depression, and autism spectrum disorders Strong expertise in adolescent individual and family therapy, case formulation, and treatment planning Full compliance with all professional, ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards established by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, AAMFT, NASW, and applicable state and federal laws (including HIPAA) Experience conducting clinical assessments with high-risk populations Proficiency with computers and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Required Skills Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and documentation requirements Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills with clients, families, and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances and organizational priorities Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and culturally responsive practice Willingness to contribute to professional development and continuing education Preferred Skills Experience in community education and outreach Knowledge of evidence-based practices in child and adolescent therapy Pay range and compensation package $90,000 - $100,000 (based on a 1.0 FTE). Position will start at 32 hours per week (0.80 FTE). Flexibility required for evening availability up to 7:00 PM.
