Executive Territory Account Manager - Mid Atlantic

Illumina seeks an Executive Territory Account Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region to drive sales objectives and growth targets for genomic technology solutions. The role combines field-based customer engagement, strategic account development, and complex sales execution across clinical and research markets in the Rockville, Maryland territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory and account-specific sales plans to meet assigned quotas
- Conduct field-based customer activities representing at least 50% of time allocation
- Manage CRM database, sales forecasting, and pipeline management activities
- Deliver technical seminars and consultative presentations on Illumina products and applications
- Identify emerging market trends and match customer objectives to Illumina capabilities
Requirements
- 8+ years life science capital equipment sales experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of clinical and research genetics, NGS, and genotyping applications
- Demonstrated success in complex multi-layered sales environments
- Proven track record developing and growing key customer accounts long-term
- Experience with independent lead generation and business development
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's or PhD reduces experience requirement)
Compensation: $118,200 - $177,200 base salary, plus variable cash program and potential equity
