Rewinder Operator/1st shift

Job Responsibilities Ensure product specification requirements are maintained (paper grade, sheet count, perf length, log diameters, core size, etc.) and finished log/roll quality levels are acceptable. Ensure proper operational procedures are adhered to concerning rewinder and logsaw operation. Follow established machine operating guidelines. Ensure work habits minimize waste generation. Inform Lead Handpacker and Team Manager of any significant product quality changes. Inform maintenance personnel and Team Manager of any operational deficiencies on equipment. Ensure good housekeeping practices are performed regularly. Ensure complete and accurate documentation of production reporting and shift check sheets. Possess the ability to troubleshoot/identify minor operational issues and make appropriate machine adjustments. Possess the ability to assist/complete rewinder equipment changeovers. Possess the ability to operate downstream equipment (logsaw, conveyors, tape machine, etc) and assist with those equipment changeovers as necessary. Inform Team Manager of all unsafe work conditions.
