Job Description

Within DCPHR's Health Equity Branch, the Mobile Public Health Clinic Program (MPHCP) is responsible for bridging gaps in access to disease control and public health services statewide. This position coordinates and leads patient care services at clinics, guiding nurses and clinical staff, providing ongoing training, and ensuring the team maintains best practices. Traveling to different regions of the State of Colorado, serving underserved populations, bringing public health resources and disease mitigation through vaccinations, testing, and other disease control services.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution in a epidemiology or nursing, public health, nurse administrator, nurse researcher and Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and Two (2) years of professional experience in communicable disease, public health, infection prevention control or in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Additional appropriate experience in communicable disease, public health, infection prevention control will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Relevant State of Colorado experience, experience coaching/mentoring other nurses, working with disproportionally under served communities, experience observing, recording, reporting, and documenting changes in a patient's condition.

Critical Status: This is a critical position and can be expected to work and/or remain at their worksite in delayed start, early release, or closure situations. Must possess a Registered Nurse license, Must possess a current valid drivers license. Travel to clinics when requested and other travel in or out of state conferences and may require overnight stays. Basic Life Support certification (eCard). Required vaccination of Hepatitis B, Influenza, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and varicella. Effective September 20, 2021, this position will require documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. New employees will be required to provide attestation to their status with proof of vaccination within three (3) business days of hire.
