All our engineering is performed at our facility making sure that exact specifications are met.The Controller will oversee all financial activities for Gulf Electroquip, Red Claw LLC, and affiliated companies. This leadership role is responsible for managing accounting operations, insurance, payroll, banking, and financial reporting. The Controller will also play a key part in strategic planning, systems oversight, and ensuring accurate, timely financial decision-making across the organization.FINANCIAL PROCESSESPrepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsOversee/perform activities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and company key performance indicators, including:Create and post monthly journal entries and allocationsCompile monthly bank reconciliationsReport monthly sales tax and create required paymentsProcess daily cash receipts and applicationsPrepare year-end reconciliation and reportingCreate Journal entries and year-end adjustmentsMaintain proper product margins through cost and pricing analysisEnsure tax and regulatory complianceAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvementOversee all corporate insurance (workers’ compensation, liability, etc.)PERSONNEL & HRVerify/maintain OSHA 300 logDevelop and manage personal key performance indicatorsCoordinate 401K planCoordinate response to inquiries from IRS and any other external agencyOversee/process weekly payrollACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS AUTOMATIONAssist with strategic and business planning initiativesDevelop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.Super user of our enterprise planning systemManage outside contractors, including ITTrack and apply for federal funding of internal projectsOTHER DUTIESPotential financial oversight for IDEAL Electric as neededCollaborate on cross-functional initiatives including inventory cleanup, product costing, and pricing strategiesParticipate in working groups to improve product development and cross-department collaborationOther duties as assignedBachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent job experience, CPA preferredStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and relevant financial regulationsAbility to analyze financial data, identify trends and make informed decisionsAbility to lead and motivate the financial team(s)Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentProven experience using ERP systems (VISUAL Enterprise experience is a plus)High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsBilingual Spanish/English a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
