Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting diverse student populations across multiple school sites as an Occupational Therapist. This contract position is set to begin in August 2026 and continues through the end of the 2027 school year. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to address the varied needs of students in a cross-categorical, itinerant capacity, making a meaningful difference every day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current OT license required
- Experience in school-based, home health, and general healthcare OT settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), documentation, and progress reporting
- Proven ability to engage students from various age groups and ability levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and willingness to travel between school sites as needed
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across multiple campuses
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate, timely records and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
- Provide training and resources to school staff and caregivers to support carryover of therapy strategies
