Job SummaryThe Laboratory Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including the execution of experiments, the maintenance of equipment, and the adherence to safety protocols. This position focuses on the technical aspects of laboratory management, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure that research projects are completed accurately and efficiently. Sets performance goals, participates in evaluations, provides feedback, and informs compensation decisions.
Responsibilities Job Duty 1 -
Manage the daily operations of the laboratory by ensuring that experiments are conducted according to established protocols and timelines.
Collaborate with researchers to provide technical support and expertise in the design and execution of experimental procedures. Job Duty 3 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Job Duty 4 -
Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise. Job Duty 5 -
Conduct experiments and data analysis independently, ensuring that all findings are documented accurately and reported in a timely manner. Job Duty 6 -
Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, including inventory management, reagent usage, and safety inspections. Job Duty 7 -
Support compliance with safety regulations by regularly inspecting the laboratory environment and reporting any hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Job Duty 8 -
Assist in the training of new laboratory personnel by providing instruction on equipment usage, safety protocols, and laboratory procedures. Job Duty 9 -
Monitor the progress of ongoing research projects by compiling and analyzing data to ensure that objectives are met and deadlines are adhered to. Job Duty 10 -
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay updated on best practices in laboratory management. Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced certification may be preferred or required.
Two or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Assist in the on-boarding and off boarding of laboratory personnel.
- Ability to hold and manage a P-CARD is preferred, but not required.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $72,039.00 - $121,746.00.
