Job Description Position Title: Sign Language Interpreter Location: Bel Air North, Maryland Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 4th-grade student at Aberdeen Elementary School in Bel Air North, MD. This full-time, in-person position requires a candidate with a 4.0 EIPA score or higher. The interpreter will work closely with the student to facilitate munication and ensure an inclusive educational experience. Dates: Full School Year (24/25) Hours: Full-Time: 8:30 AM 3:30 PM Caseload: 4th-grade student at Aberdeen Elementary School Requirements: 4.0 EIPA score or higher Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working in a school setting is preferred Job Duties: Interpretation: Provide accurate and effective interpretation for the 4th-grade student in all classroom activities and school-related events. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, staff, and the students family to ensure the student's munication needs are met. Support: Assist the student in understanding and participating in classroom activities, assignments, and discussions. Documentation: Maintain records of the student's progress and any challenges faced during the interpretation process. Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices in sign language interpretation and participate in relevant training sessions.
