A general contractor based in Boston is seeking a Superintendent for Residential & Commercial Renovations throughout the Greater Boston area. They will oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in managing both residential and commercial renovation projects in the construction industry. Description The Superintendent - Residential & Commercial Renovations will: Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient operations. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards and addressing potential hazards. Monitor project progress, including scheduling, quality control, and adherence to design specifications. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction to minimize delays or disruptions. Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs and progress reports for each project. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Provide leadership and direction to construction teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Profile A successful Superintendent should have: Proven experience managing construction projects in the property industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes. Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and tools. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. Ability to interpret and execute architectural and engineering plans.
