As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Auburn, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related concerns, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and/or report maintenance, lighting, or facility issues that could impact daily operations at the location.
• Support campus events, after-hours activities, and/or routine operations by providing a visible presence, offering directions, and following post orders and client instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
