Required Skills:

• Board Certification (BC or BE) in Gastroenterology
• Valid PA medical license and DEA registration
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Strong procedural skills, including performing scheduled and ad-hoc cases
• Ability to manage a varied patient population aged 18 and above
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with hospital consults and inpatient rounds
• Additional procedural expertise (beyond standard GI procedures)
• Familiarity with ER consults and cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Residency and fellowship training in Gastroenterology
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Prior experience performing 4-5 scheduled procedures daily, with flexibility for add-ons and unplanned cases

Other Requirements:

• Ability to support approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month
• Availability for day shifts, including 24-hour call duties during scheduled blocks
• Involvement in inpatient rounding, outpatient clinics, and emergency consults
• Support staff includes on-site anesthesiologists and a PA for hospital rounds
• Compliance with all licensure, credentialing, and hospital requirements
