Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)This position operates on a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM schedule, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts are required, specifically Friday and Saturday. There may be possible call shifts involved.The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN will:Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses based on their responses to health problems.Develop and implement individualized plans of care while continually evaluating the patient's responses.Utilize knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to facilitate a smooth transition through the healthcare process, minimizing preventable complications or delays.Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel as per the Texas Nursing Practice Act, taking into account each patient's condition and the competencies of the staff involved.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of current experience in a Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required.Experience in HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy), surfactant administration, and PICC line management is essential.An active Texas or Compact RN license is mandatory.EPIC experience is required.Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are necessary.Profile RequirementsResume.Skills Checklist specific to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.Two supervisory references from the past year.Active Texas or Compact RN license.Active BLS certification from AHA or ARC.Active NRP certification.Proof of Taxable Address (e.g., driver's license, utility bill, lease agreement, etc.).
