Cash Receipts Clerk Location: North Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Fully Onsite Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour Employment Type: Contract to Hire Industry Background: Automotive experience is beneficial but not required

About the Opportunity A well established organization in North Phoenix is adding a Cash Receipts Clerk to its accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations. The company is looking for an organized, dependable professional who is eager to learn, contribute to the team, and expand their accounting knowledge over time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Record and apply daily payments received through cash, checks, and credit cards across multiple business locations
• Review and reconcile credit card activity to ensure transactions have been posted correctly
• Prepare daily bank deposits and maintain accurate deposit documentation
• Support the processing and balancing of daily receipts for several locations in partnership with team members
• Follow established cash management procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Track, file, and organize payment records, deposits, and related transaction documentation
• Work closely with the accounting team to meet deadlines and maintain efficient workflow
• Provide support with additional accounting and administrative projects as business needs require

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in cash posting, cash handling, banking operations, cashiering, retail accounting, accounts receivable, or a similar financial support role preferred
• Exposure to basic accounting concepts is helpful, though not necessary
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, with particular emphasis on Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Previous automotive industry experience is considered a plus
