PrideStaff is looking for a Purchaser for the Madera area
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Contacts vendors for the purpose of placing orders for approved items. Items are approved by Plant Department Mangers only.
- Secures written quotes for the manager to review as needed
- Receives all purchased items physically and records transactions on paperwork before sending them to the manager for final approval.
- Understand Plant operations and equipment.
- Clean and orderly with self and workspace.
- Able to use multiple resources to locate best prices on supplies.
- Excel at verbal communication with co-workers without confrontation.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Good mathematics and computer skills in Excel, Word & Power Point preferred.
- Type 35 wpm and 10-key.
- Excellent verbal skills in English and bilingual is a plus.
- Bilingual helpful. English required.
