MEMCO is hiring a Commercial Scaffolding Foreman in Dania Beach, FL!!

ASAP! Monday-Friday; 6am-4pm; OT Available

Pay: $24-28/hr; BOE

Job Overview:

As a Scaffold Foreman, you'll be a key player in building and maintaining safe work environments for commercial construction crews. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, stability, and integrity of scaffolds used on construction sites, providing a secure platform for workers to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Building and dismantling scaffolds: Construct sturdy scaffolds following blueprints and safety guidelines.
• Ensuring safety: Maintain the highest safety standards, conducting regular inspections.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other workers for efficient project completion.
• Equipment maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in top shape, performing regular maintenance.
• Problem-solving: Think critically to solve unexpected challenges while prioritizing safety.
• Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, and maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What you need:

• Minimum 4 years of scaffolding experience
• Prior experience assembling and dismantling swing stage and supported scaffolds required
• Qualified to serve as a Scaffold Competent Person
• Strong leadership and crew management skills
• Thorough understanding of OSHA scaffold standards and safety regulations
• Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to delivering quality work
• Valid driver's license required and ability to pass an MVR check
• Pre-employment drug screening required
• Background check required
• Ability to travel and report to different job sites
• Own safety harness and own tools

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor, including frequent climbing, lifting, and maneuvering on ladders and stairways
• Must be able to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions
• Must be able to carry and transport two 50 lb. weights at the same time
