Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch; weekends off. Call approximately every third week, including holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Echo Technologist will perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms, while assisting in transesophageal echocardiography following established practices and procedures. The role includes providing preliminary diagnostic evaluations and promptly notifying cardiologists of examination results. The technologist will also collaborate with cardiologists to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determine the necessary technical factors to meet these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and related stress tests.
• Assist in transesophageal echocardiography procedures.
• Provide preliminary diagnostic assessments and communicate results to cardiologists.
• Consult with cardiologists on requirements for non-standard tests.
• Manage call rotation and availability as needed.

Required Experience

Experience performing echocardiograms and related cardiac imaging procedures is required.

Certifications/Licensure

Relevant certifications in echocardiography and current licensure as required for the position.
