Location: Lancaster, CA - On-site in a collaborative litigation environment where you'll work closely with attorneys and the litigation support team.

Note: Candidates should have 8+ years of litigation paralegal experience. Personal injury and/or environmental litigation experience is strongly preferred, along with extensive knowledge of California civil procedure.

Job Description

• Manage a high-volume litigation caseload through all phases of litigation, including trial.
• Serve as a senior resource by providing guidance and oversight to junior litigation assistants and legal support staff.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, reviewing responses and identifying deficiencies or strategic issues.
• Review medical records and organize supporting case documentation.
• Identify, retain, and coordinate expert witnesses.
• Coordinate expert examinations and litigation support activities.
• Prepare trial pleadings, exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
• Attend trials as needed to support attorneys.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and attorneys.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and California procedural requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Personal injury and/or environmental litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Experience managing complex litigation files independently.
• Experience with State Court filings; Federal and Appellate Court filing experience preferred.
• Trial preparation and trial support experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to type at least 70 WPM.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
