QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in janitorial service or completion of a certified janitorial program is preferred, but not required. Responsible for the overall cleaning and appearance of assigned areas on a daily basis, following the specifications of the current contract.

Travel Associate / Janitorial

• Must have reliable transportation
• Will travel to multiple locations from OKC to El Reno
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle for business purposes
• Mileage will be reimbursed

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 18 years old or older

Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site and any other background check agency deems necessary

Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings.

Must meet eligibility requirements as a person with a significant disability, if applicable

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have regular and punctual attendance
• Must be able to work independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this job description:

• Standing up to 8 hours
• Able to lift maximum weight of 50 pounds vertically*
• Able to lift maximum weight of 25 pounds horizontally*
• Able to carry above-described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet*
• The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling. May also grasp, push, pull, drag and lift equipment and other items.
• Must have mobility, vision, and dexterity levels, appropriate to the duties to be performed
• Additional physical requirements to be considered depending on the area assigned.

*NOTE: Employee will be coached for lifting more than maximum weight or for non-use of required safety equipment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

• Work hours vary according to availability of shifts.
• This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Monday 12:00am through Sunday midnight.
• Additional work factors to be considered depends wholly on the area(s) assigned and may include variable temperatures, noise, dust levels, lighting and ground surfaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform overall cleaning and maintain appearance of assigned areas on a daily basis, following the specification of the current contract.
• Properly use supplies and equipment needed to perform daily cleaning.
• Request supplies and equipment used for daily cleaning, through the Lead Person.
• Maintain all equipment used in daily cleaning.
• Clean and organize each cleaning closet or storage area before leaving it.
• Follow all requests from Lead Person or Supervisor to clean areas outside those that are assigned to you on a daily basis.
• Take any question you may have or situations that you are unsure about to your Lead Person for him/her to address.
• Respond to request to work at other contract sites within Think Ability, Inc. This may include the same tasks or like duties.
• Respond to any other request that may be made by your Lead Person or higher authority.
• Responsible to report emergencies to Lead or Supervisor on duty.

RESPONSIBILITIES - ANCILLARY FUNCTIONS:

• Report any malfunction of equipment to Lead Person immediately so maintenance or replacement actions can take place in a timely manner.
• Report all accidents resulting in injury IMMEDIATELY to your Lead or Supervisor.
• Report any unsafe conditions to your Lead or Supervisor.
• Be familiar with and comply with all Think Ability, Inc. policies and procedures.

• Flexible scheduling: many shifts can be completed anytime between 8am–5pm and typically take ~2 hours
• Great opportunity for part-time candidates — someone could pick up multiple schedules (ex: one in the morning and one in the afternoon)
