Lead FP&A Operations Specialist - Cash Flow Planning & Analysis

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead FP&A Operations Specialist - Cash Flow Planning & Analysis based in United States.

This role focuses on cash flow planning, analysis, and liquidity management within a high-visibility corporate finance environment. You will help drive daily cash management, working capital forecasting, and longer-term liquidity planning while partnering closely with FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, IT, and operational teams. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen cash visibility, improve forecasting methodologies, and support strategic financial decisions. You will analyze financial performance, identify key variance drivers, and translate complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders. The role is well suited to an analytical finance professional who understands the relationship between financial statements and cash flow dynamics. You will operate in a fast-paced environment with significant exposure to cross-functional initiatives and strategic decision-making.

Accountabilities:

• Lead ongoing financial closing, reporting, and analysis activities in collaboration with business segments, Tier 2 organizations, and corporate finance teams.
• Drive a stronger cash management culture by improving data visibility and scaling centralized reporting of actual cash performance and forecasting methodologies.
• Support the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow forecasts, ensuring assumptions and outputs are accurate and actionable.
• Monitor cash flow performance against forecasts, investigate significant variances, and identify the underlying business drivers and emerging trends.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to collect relevant financial and operational data and incorporate business insights into cash flow forecasting.
• Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools that support cash flow planning, business performance analysis, forecasting, and risk and opportunity assessment.
• Prepare management reports, presentations, and other materials that communicate cash flow performance, projections, trends, and key financial insights.
• Conduct ad hoc financial and business analysis to support strategic initiatives, financial planning, and decision-making.
• Provide recommendations to operational teams and senior leadership on opportunities to improve cash flow management, working capital performance, and liquidity.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders to strengthen cash-related processes and reporting capabilities.
• Stay informed about relevant industry trends, financial planning practices, and emerging approaches to cash flow management and analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, Controllership, Cost Management, or a comparable finance function.
• Demonstrated ability to build complex financial models used to analyze business performance, forecast future trends, and evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
• Strong understanding of the three financial statements and the ability to interpret financial results and connect them to broader business strategy.
• Experience managing budgets, comparing actual performance against forecasts, identifying variances, and adjusting financial strategies or assumptions as needed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into practical recommendations for business leaders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, operations, technology, and other functions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and consistently meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive mindset with a strong interest in continuous learning, professional development, and improving financial processes.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.
