Industry Research Team – Vice President / Director Responsibilities Lead a team that analyzes, evaluates, and monitors investments across our strategies Conceive and execute in-depth industry, competitive, and financial analyses to formulate and test differential investment hypotheses Perform company and industry research: visit company management, conduct field research with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gain insight into a company’s or industry’s fundamentals, and attend relevant industry and Wall Street conferences Make proactive buy/sell recommendations and communicate investment views effectively with appropriate team members Identify and evaluate attractive investment ideas, primarily in the public markets, but also in selective private market investments Manage the workload, responsibilities, and development of analysts and associates Qualifications Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated track record of successful work experience 6+ years of professional experience in investment management, investment banking, sell-side research, public or private investing, and/or management consulting Fundamentals-driven, bottom-up investing style with strong analytical and modeling capability Experience interacting with and assessing senior management teams, with proven relationship-building and networking skills Ability to anticipate and identify company, industry, and market developments and support insights with research and analysis Excellent communication skills; able to synthesize complicated analyses concisely and articulate insightful conclusions compellingly; open to spirited debate over ideas Passion for investing Proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments Compensation Expected annual base salary: $200,000 – $275,000 (actual base salary determined by role, function, level, experience, qualifications, and geographic location). In addition to a competitive base salary, the position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual impact, team, and firm performance.
