Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Travel)

Seeking a traveling Physical Therapist to join an outpatient rehabilitation team in Kilmarnock, VA. The clinician will provide skilled therapeutic interventions for geriatric, orthopedic, and neurologic outpatient populations, including post-operative joint replacements and post-stroke care. The role emphasizes evaluation, individualized treatment planning, therapeutic exercise, modalities, balance and gait training, patient and caregiver education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia physical therapy license required prior to start.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics and neuro populations preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Experience with outpatient modalities and equipment such as cryotherapy, heating pads, TENS units, antigravity devices, and parallel bars preferred.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary outpatient rehab team and follow facility documentation and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic preferred.
• Certifications such as OCS, NDT, or specialty credentials preferred.
• Temp-to-perm interest is preferred but not required.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Workdays: Monday through Friday.
• Travel candidates only; candidate must be 50 miles outside of facility.
• May be asked to pick up a weekend shift occasionally to accommodate weekday time off.
• Outpatient clinic attached to the hospital; may require coordination with inpatient or other department staff as needed.
