In this role, you will partner with team members and managers across the organization, providing guidance and support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, leave administration, compliance, onboarding, and employee engagement. Your expertise will help ensure an exceptional team member experience while supporting organizational effectiveness, compliance, and our mission-driven goals.

What You Will Do
Support and Engage Our Team Members
- Serve as a trusted resource for team members by responding to employment-related questions and concerns and providing guidance on the interpretation of the Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, performance management discussions, and workplace investigations.
- Conduct regular visits to Goodwill locations to build relationships, gather feedback, and promote a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and implement initiatives that support employee engagement, wellness, and retention.
Ensure Compliance and Best Practices
- Administer leaves of absence and ADA accommodation processes in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
- Manage unemployment insurance claims, including preparing documentation and representing the organization during hearings.
- Extract and compile data for internal, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Administer on-site drug testing for team members in safety sensitive positions.
- Monitor changes to federal, state, and local employment regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures, as needed.
- Track and document completion of required annual trainings to ensure organizational compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR trends, industry best practices, and emerging HR technologies.
Support Human Resources Operations
- Review and maintain team member records, status changes, and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Analyze reports to ensure integrity of data in the HRIS system.
- Facilitate onboarding for salaried team members and audit onboarding processes to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Assist with the revision of Standard Operating Procedures and other HR-related documentation.
Contribute to Organizational Success
- Provide regular updates to the Vice President of Human Resources regarding issues, and any areas of challenge, opportunity or concern.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance the team member experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Participate in Goodwill-sponsored events, community activities, and other initiatives that support our mission.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least four years of experience in a Human Resources field.
- Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software programs.
- Working knowledge of HR information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to handle concurrent tasks in a busy work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The role involves regular interaction with office equipment and standard administrative workspaces. The noise level is generally moderate.
Travel of approximately 20% is required to support Goodwill locations throughout Delaware and Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
