Structural WelderThis role is critical in fabricating and assembling structural components using MIG welding techniques, ensuring precision, durability, and compliance with engineering specifications.Responsibilities & DutiesPerform complex welding operations on structural steel and heavy componentsInterpret detailed blueprints and welding symbols with minimal supervisionPerform quality checks using gauges, measuring tools, and NDT basicsAssist in training Level 1 welders and provide technical guidanceTroubleshoot welding issues and recommend corrective actionsMaintain compliance with industry standards (AWS, ASME, etc.)All other duties assignedOther ResponsibilitiesTo ensure Kelvion's Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce.Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational FrameworkRequirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.Familiarity with structural welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 or equivalent).Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices.AWS certification is a plus.Education And Experience (Required Levels)High school diploma or GED required; technical training or welding certification preferred.2-4 years of MIG welding experience, preferably in a structural or heavy fabrication setting.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
