Regulatory Affairs Manager
$120k - $150kLume Deodorant
Regulatory Affairs Manager
About Lume and Mando Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don't have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as "life-changing" by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men's line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men's personal care category. From whole body deodorants to body washes, our product offerings arm men with the confidence to show up as their best selves as they move about their busy day. Lume and Mando are part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry's, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to "Create Things People Like More," the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples' lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date. We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.
The Regulatory team is responsible for the compliance of Harry's, Flamingo, Lume and Mando brand products. The Regulatory team works cross-functionally and across all geographies to advise on all regulatory issues.
About the Role:
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will serve as a key contributor to the Regulatory Affairs team, owning end-to-end regulatory strategy and compliance across our product portfolios. This role is responsible for both bringing new products to market and maintaining compliance throughout the product lifecycle for our current markets, as well as any new international markets. The ideal candidate is a proactive regulatory professional who can translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business guidance and partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams to keep launches on track.
What you will accomplish:
- Lead regulatory review of new product launches across cosmetic, OTC, and general product categories- evaluating formula compliance, artwork accuracy, labeling requirements, and claims substantiation prior to market release.
- Own OTC drug product listing registration, annual renewals, and establishment documentation
- Oversee domestic and international registration and compliance activities
- Support post-market activities, including change control, product reformulations, and ongoing compliance monitoring throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate new and evolving regulatory requirements across all target markets, translating changes into practical business impact and strategic guidance for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead regulatory market entry strategy for new countries- researching cosmetic regulations, registration pathways, labeling requirements, and ingredient restrictions to enable successful product launches.
- Provide competitive intelligence reporting from a regulatory perspective to inform product and business strategy.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries from internal and external partners.
- Partner closely with internal teams and external regulatory partners to ensure compliance across the supply chain.
- Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across product lines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain regulatory SOPs and internal processes
Experience and Qualifications:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 3+ years of regulatory affairs experience in the cosmetic, personal care, or consumer products industry.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. and international cosmetic and personal care regulatory requirements, including FDA, MoCRA, Health Canada, EU Cosmetics Regulation, UK Cosmetics Regulation, and other applicable global market requirements.
- Hands-on experience with OTC drug regulatory requirements, including product listing, establishment registration, and annual renewals.
- Demonstrated track record supporting new product development, launch readiness, lifecycle management, and change control activities.
- Proven ability to monitor evolving regulations and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional teams.
This Should Describe You:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, confident communicator, able to distill complex regulatory topics for non-regulatory audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to flex as priorities shift.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
Here's Who You'll Work With:
- Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs
- You'll be a team member of the Regulatory Team
- Cross-functional partners include Program Management, Product Development, Brand, Design, Retail, Sourcing, and Legal.
- External partners include regulatory consultants and contract manufacturers.
