About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment, ensuring safe and compassionate care based on individual needs. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to delivering evidence-based quality care. Highlights Location : Cortland, NY Schedule : Per Diem What You'll Do Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care. Develop, update, and coordinate the patients' plan of care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Advocate for ethical and holistic care in care planning. Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ensure safety and quality by identifying and correcting problems. Engage in ongoing professional development and practice at the top of license. Demonstrate leadership as a change agent within the practice setting. Participate in the planning and presentation of educational programs. Perform high-level disinfection based on departmental equipment. Requirements Education: BSN in Nursing preferred. Experience: At least one year of experience preferred; less than one year acceptable if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York. BLS certification required. ACLS is unit dependent; specialty certification preferred.
