Clinical Research Nurse Oncology

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• MUST HAVE Oncology nursing experience.
• Proficiency with blood draws, specimen handling, and clinical documentation.
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 AM. Includes a brief team meeting on Friday mornings (8:30-9:00 AM), with flexible scheduling earlier in the week to accommodate meeting time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct study visits for patients enrolled in Phase I oncology clinical trials.
• Perform clinical assessments, obtain vital signs, and document findings in EPIC.
• Collect, process, and coordinate laboratory specimens, including blood draws.
• Pre-screen patients according to study protocol requirements.
• Provide patient-centered oncology nursing care during clinical trial visits.
• Collaborate with research staff to coordinate daily patient schedules and clinical activities.
• Ensure adherence to clinical trial protocols, institutional policies, and nursing standards.
• Support trial operations across multiple cancer center locations as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
