Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedics Unit (Night Shift) Location Clara Maass Medical Center, 1 Clara Maass Drive, Belleville, NJ 07109 (New Jersey) Job Overview The RN will provide individualized, age‑specific professional care to patients in the Orthopedics Unit during the night shift. The role supports the Department of Nursing and the overall mission of the medical center and adheres to state nursing practice statutes and the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice. Qualifications Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Associate degree in nursing Obtain ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills Minimum two (2) years RN experience in Critical Care or Telemetry Certifications and Licenses Required Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Night Shift – 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Full Time Every other weekend required; in‑week schedule varies per department needs Essential Functions The RN organizes and administers individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit, supports patient teaching and discharge planning, participates in unit performance improvement evaluation activities, and practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association standards, and other regulatory requirements.
