Senior Accountant for Chopt Creative Salad Co.
Reporting: Sr. Director of Accounting & Shared Services
Location: HQ – Rye Brook, New York – 4 Days in Office/Remote on Friday

Founders Table Restaurant Group, owner of Chopt Creative Salad Company, is looking to bring on a Sr. Accountant to their Rye-based accounting department.

The Senior Accountant plays an important role within the accounting and finance department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting & Shared Services, this individual is primarily focused on sales tax and reconciliation functions while improving existing departmental processes and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Payroll – collaborate with HR to reconcile the Workers Compensation & Health Insurance Benefits monthly. Review & post the weekly payroll entries and accruals
Bank Reconciliations – monthly reconciliation of assigned bank accounts
Sales Tax submissions – prepare and file various tax returns monthly
Amex Reconciliations - review and ensure expenses are accurately reported on a weekly basis
Concur Expense Reporting – create profile for new colleagues, review and ensure Weekly expenses are accurately reported
Inventory – Monthly review and analysis of COGS items, waste logs and stock counts
Review and maintain the monthly accruals and prepaid spreadsheets of assigned GLs to ensure entries are appropriately recorded on a M/E basis
Perform account reconciliation and maintain the general ledger for assigned accounts monthly
Participate and assist in Ad-hoc projects as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
3-4 years of experience in corporate accounting 
Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment 
Microsoft Excel skills required 
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls, with experience and proficiency in researching technical accounting issues 
Knowledge of ASC 842 Lease Accounting 
Relevant hospitality, restaurant or retail experience preferred We use eVerify to confirm U.S. Employment eligibility.
