This restaurant will house hospitality professionals with an unwavering desire to deliver exceptional service. What You'll DoSupport Kitchen OperationsWork closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to support all aspects of daily kitchen operations.Help ensure exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution while maintaining company standards.Take a hands-on approach to cooking and service, stepping in wherever needed to support the team and successful execution.Follow and reinforce kitchen schedules, par levels, prep lists, order guides, and opening and closing procedures.Assist with weekly inventory, ordering, receiving, repairs and maintenance, and overall kitchen organization.Participate in pre-shift food education and ongoing training for both front- and back-of-house teams.Utilize POS systems and standard computer applications to support kitchen operations.Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors while supporting the needs and expectations of restaurant leadership.  Develop & Support the TeamHelp train, coach, and develop hourly culinary team members to consistently perform at a high level.Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of kitchen team members.Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture built around teamwork, accountability, creativity, and excellence.Bring new ideas and creativity to the kitchen while supporting the culinary vision of the Executive Chef.Support private dining, events, and restaurant openings as needed.Maintain Standards & SafetyMaintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, organization, and quality. Follow company safety programs and participate in required health and safety inspections. Ensure proper ordering, receiving, storage, labeling, rotation, and shelf-life practices. Maintain compliance with applicable California labor, hiring, health, and safety requirements. Support responsible and local sourcing while fostering an inclusive, collaborative kitchen culture. What We're Looking For2+ years of Sous Chef or comparable culinary leadership experience in an upscale casual restaurant.5+ years of professional cooking experience with strong technical and knife skills.ServSafe certification.Strong culinary knowledge with a passion for quality, consistency, and creative execution.Experience with restaurant openings and private dining or banquet events is preferred.Culinary school education and multilingual skills are welcomed but not required.Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.A hands-on, team-oriented leadership style with the ability to coach and develop others.Ability to remain on your feet and active for extended periods while meeting the physical demands of a busy kitchen.Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.We Offer:$70 -$80K Annual Salary 401K Retirement SavingsMedical/Dental/Vision InsuranceFree meal per shiftGrowth & Development opportunities*Compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and the approved budget for the position.OUR MISSION To build relationships within our community by serving them with passion in a hospitable environment while providing food that is honest, consistent and fresh.  WHAT MAKES US UNIQUEYou would be joining a team of true restaurant hospitality professionals who are driven by quality, consistency and integrity with everything we do.
