Maintenance Technician

This organization is an independent, privately-owned manufacturer and supplier of corrugated boxes, recycled containerboard and virgin linerboard in the industrial packaging industry. With over 2,000 employees and products proudly made in America, this organization has established a perfect balance in its manufacturing process. It is the only company in the industry today that uses 100% recycled fiber to produce 50% high-quality brown paper products and 50% virgin paper products to serve every need of the customer. They are currently looking for Maintenance Technicians at one of their subsidiary companies in Thomasville, North Carolina (25 minutes from Greensboro).

This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Duties include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance; troubleshooting AC/DC drives, and control systems; making equipment settings and adjustments; performing preventive and scheduled maintenance; and responding to emergency equipment breakdowns. The role also requires reading equipment manuals and work orders, using hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment, and supporting special maintenance projects as needed. They are currently looking for folks Strong Mechanical Experience and basic electrical. Experience with Gears, bearings, and other preventive maintenance on Mechanical systems is a great fit.

Compensation is $25-30/hour plus ample built-in overtime. You can easily make $90K+ your first year! They have full benefits and offer a 401k match. They run 12 hour shifts right now, so new employees can make a lot of money with extra overtime. This is also Monday-Friday day shift position. May work some Saturdays but not often.
