Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist Remote | United States Base salary: $110,000 to $160,000 + uncapped performance incentive Top performers can earn $200,000+ in total annual compensation Have you helped build a company by finding elite talent before the company knew where to look? Blue Collar Scholars is a rapidly growing home services company serving the DC, Maryland, and Virginia market. We need a highly motivated Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist to build our recruiting engine, aggressively pursue exceptional talent, and help take our company to the next level of growth. What You Will Own You will own the front end of employee hiring, from an approved opening through a successful day one. Build proactive recruiting plans for sales, operations, project management, permitting, administrative, and other key roles. Identify and recruit passive candidates through competitor research, targeted outreach, cold calling, cold emailing, referrals, LinkedIn, events, and creative sourcing. Build a pipeline of proven top sales talent, not simply active applicants. Partner with hiring managers to define the ideal candidate, hiring urgency, interview process, and compensation expectations. Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, manage offers, and maintain a professional candidate experience. Build and maintain the recruiting process, tracker, dashboard, and operating cadence. Report meaningful recruiting data to leadership, including pipeline health, source quality, conversion rates, bottlenecks, offers, projected starts, and day-one readiness. Complete pre-employment and day-one onboarding requirements, including paperwork, background checks, access, equipment, and hiring-manager handoff. What We Need From You Demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting for difficult-to-fill or high-performance roles. A genuine headhunter mindset. You are comfortable directly approaching successful people who are not job searching. Experience building or improving a recruiting process, tracker, dashboard, or sourcing strategy. Strong communication, urgency, follow-through, and attention to detail. Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment where you will help create the structure. Experience in recruiting sales, home services, construction, field operations, or project management talent is strongly preferred. This Role Is Not for You If You prefer to wait for incoming applications. You need an established process before you can be successful. You avoid cold outreach or passive candidate recruiting. You view recruiting reporting and follow-up as administrative tasks rather than critical business drivers. This role starts with ownership of Talent Acquisition and day-one onboarding.
