Work Environment

The working environment at Athletic Edge Physiotherapy is collaborative and supportive, designed to encourage team engagement and professional growth. As an onsite outpatient facility, our therapists work directly with patients in a well-equipped therapy space. You will engage in direct patient care, utilize advanced rehabilitation technologies, and implement personalized therapy programs in a fast-paced but friendly atmosphere. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, and create tailored treatment plans to address their specific needs.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other advanced methods to rehabilitate a wide variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Guide patients through home exercise programs, educate them on posture and ergonomics, and promote lifestyle changes to facilitate faster recovery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized therapeutic environment.
• Continually update knowledge of current trends in orthopedic rehabilitation and implement new techniques to improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your expertise will guide individuals through tailored rehabilitation plans that help restore function, improve mobility, and reduce pain. By focusing on a patient-centered approach, you will empower clients to take an active role in their recovery, fostering independence and enhancing their overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of California.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Demonstrate strong manual therapy skills and familiarity with therapeutic exercise techniques.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients and the healthcare team.
• CPR/BLS certification is required to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is highly preferred, though we encourage new graduates with a passion for patient care to apply. This role is suitable for individuals eager to further develop their expertise in a supportive environment.
• Experience working with a high patient volume, managing multiple cases efficiently while providing individualized attention.

Compensation and Benefits
