Senior Manager of Accounting

Senior Corporate Accounting Manager We're partnering with a publicly traded organization to add a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to their team. This role sits at the center of the accounting function, leading the close process, supporting external reporting, and driving improvements across the organization. It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving technical accounting challenges, and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Own Lead the close process end-to-end and step into complex/high-risk areas Support external reporting and key financial disclosures Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Partner with leadership on technical accounting matters Team & Impact Lead and develop a small team of accountants Set direction, manage deadlines, and elevate team performance Act as a key point of contact for audit and cross-functional teams Continuous Improvement Focus Streamline close and reporting processes Partner across Finance, Tax, and operations Support systems, automation, and other improvement initiatives What They're Looking For CPA a plus and a degree in Accounting 7 years of experience with some in (public accounting and/or public company) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience leading close processes and managing people Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, collaborative environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
