Registered Nurse - Radiology

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse in the Radiology Department provides safe, competent, and high-quality patient care based on nursing theories, research, and organizational standards. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety, experience, and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care utilizing Relationship Centered Care principles and the nursing process.
• Assess, evaluate, and address patient needs through critical thinking and evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on their care, transition, and health promotion strategies.
• Model therapeutic communication and engage in purposeful hourly rounding.
• Ensure documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and institutional standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NYS RN license.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of RN experience, including outpatient and radiation safety.
• Demonstrate previous travel experience (minimum 1 year) for travel roles; not required for Per Diem.
• Have EPIC electronic health record experience (highly preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; associate degree considered with relevant experience or active BSN coursework.
