Commercial Roofing Laborer
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as commercial roofing laborers. In this role, you will assist with the installation of a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing. This position is ideal for candidates who are hardworking, safety-focused, and interested in developing skills in the construction and roofing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal roofing)
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Support roofing crew with tasks as directed by the foreman or superintendent
- Perform general labor duties such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials
- Assist with waterproofing, flashing, and sealing roof penetrations
Qualifications
- Experience in roofing or general construction preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of commercial roofing systems is a plus
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus
